Tarot of Seasons – First Color

Tarot of Seasons - First Color

I finally got to sit down and start coloring the first card. As Death was the closest to done, and I had a clear idea how I wanted to color it, I started there.

Now that I’ve finished coloring the firebird, though, I realize the background is just not… enough. I think the bird needs something in its clutches, and there should probably be more secondary symbols incorporated. I’m not sure.

I also haven’t determined yet whether I want to clean up the sketches to have a more clean-line animation kind of look, or if I want to stay with the sketch-y style.

Input is welcome, though I make no promises to take anyone’s advice. 😉
