Seeds of Fire – New Store!

So I finally got it together to make a little Zazzle store selling useful things with my designs on them. I’m calling it “Seeds of Fire” for various reasons.

For now there’s only two major designs, both knotwork mandalas.

The first is a pair of serpents eating each other’s tails, with Sigdrifa’s Prayer inscribed on their bodies, in Elder Futhark runes, transliterated from the Old Norse. I originally created that design for a wooden plate that I burned and painted it into. That object will eventually be for sale for the hundreds of dollars it’s worth in my time and effort.

The plate started out looking like the floor behind it.

For now, however, you can get any of several variations on stickers, shirts, tote bags, a mug, and even poker chips. More to come, as I get a sense of which versions of the design people like best, and what they’d like them on – feel free to make requests below!

Fixing it up for digital art took hours longer than it should have. It would have gone faster if I'd just hand-drawn the outline from the start.

The other design is a rainbow of ambiguously-gendered snuggly people all holding each other’s hands, to represent queer, poly, and possibly pagan folk.

I was kind of amazed I could even do this kind of knotwork.

It is also being used on the cover for Bi Magic, an anthology of bisexual erotic short fiction in the fantasy genre, published by my friends at ForbiddenFiction.com. If you like erotic fiction that doesn’t shy away from serious kink, polyamory, gender-variance, aliens, robots, or zombie apocalypses, you should definitely check them out. (Lon Sarver is one of their editors. He just finished up an anthology of creepy erotic horror stories, which is coming out very soon. Whee!)
