I spent yesterday making a new batch of Nine Worlds Map Prayer Necklaces!
These necklaces are all hand-strung and knotted on strong, soft beading cord for flexibility. Each necklace contains marker beads representing the Norse 9 Worlds and 3 Great Wells, with 9 spacer beads between them. Most beads are semi-precious stone, and the wells are metal. Some necklaces have other natural or fine glass elements to them.
The beads can serve as a prayer necklace, and, when the strand is folded around itself according to the included instructions, the arrangement of World Beads along the axes functions as a 3D map of Yggdrasil!
$45) SOLD!: Glass bead spacers with an iridescent deep purple finish, representing the mysteries great gaping void.
Nott & Nift ($60): Dark purple with lavender accent make up the spacer stones of this map necklace inspired by the invocation to Night and Night’s Daughter in Sigdrifa’s Prayer.
($60)SOLD!: “Among salt meadows stands a hall| Strength and grace in every wall, and room within to welcome all!” Mother of Pearl and lavender stone spacers for the Allmother and Her Handmaidens.
Mother Nerthus ($60): “Strength of Stone, Depth of Earth – Mother Nerthus gives us birth!” Mottled Brown Jasper and dark Moss Agate beads adorn this necklace blessed in Nerthus’ name.
($60) CLAIMED!: Light and dark Moss Agate spacers invoking the fields and forests of Vanaheim.
($60) CLAIMED!: Solid dark Moss Agate spacers the color of the lush rolling hills and dark, dangerous forests of Jotunheim.
($60) SOLD!: Mottled grey stones like the cloak and floppy hat of the one-eyed Wanderer. This is the last remaining from the very first batch of Nine Worlds Map necklaces.
Svartalfheim ($60): Golden Iron Pyrite and steely Hematite make up the spacers of this necklace inspired by the great dwarven smiths.
Vorlund ($60): Solid Hematite (iron oxide crystal) invokes the archetypical blacksmith known as Vorlund in the north, and Weyland to the English. Very grounding. (Caution: Hematite can be very brittle. Do not strike these beads against hard surfaces or edges.)
Temper ($60): Great swords are made by casting the metal into the fire, beating it smooth, and then dousing it in icy water. These icy faceted glass crystals, fire agate, and iron pyrite spacers invoke the harrowing process of finding balance between the extreme elements of the North.
Blood and Bone
($60) SOLD!: “By Blood and Bone, by Stock and Stone…” Hail the Ancestors with these real bone and blood-red stone beads.
All prices include shipping for North American buyers. International buyers, we’d need to discuss shipping costs.
