Women in Heathenry

I don’t feel this level of unappreciated, I admit, but I realize that’s because I never expected recognition in the first place.

The photo, by the way, is of my beloved teacher, Lorrie Wood, holding up the horn. The others I don’t know, sorry.

Women In Heathenry

Sumble Troth

You know, I thought we were getting it right.  OK, for all of those who like to talk to me about white privilege, I will freely acknowledge I know nothing about growing up anything else, of course they know jack sh*t except fairy tales about my life either so we will leave it at that.  I have however spent a life growing up looking after and protecting my little sister, have spent twenty years married to my amazing wife and raised three daughters.  I have been there for them as best I could in challenges beyond number.  I had, I thought a pretty good read on what they faced, in every community.

Of all the communities, and sadly I must definitely include my beloved Armed Forces, Heathenry was the one that did the best job of accepting men and women equally and in all the myriad expressions…

I’m thankful to appreciate and others good, as real people. God(s) blessed…
I feel a poem tugging to be shared, similar related, about respect: “Does dark toil to and throu or is it misused too as a disguise too tugged by: to know who is original comfort from life’s past knowing it’s a living presence ? Are people the replace connection of that true comfort, in jobs is it terried too far into side forms of suicide disguised as career and pimp crave to be a part of “the club” to be in comfort blanket’s soulmated arms God seamed blessed and sought destroyed only for that only. Are your lifes not counted or disguised as not there for only that, like a thread count, not persons there (unjustly)? There and there is it real so? A jump to and throu? An entertained caravan where that is unconsciously? An orphanage of those afraid of what seems Satans, religions or similar when how did you fall merely to be just that, deported raped “token” without identity called disguised as fan, spam or hierarchy? when that is a violation of all lands’ Laws of Good Moral and safety. Is that all or is there more like you always dreamed? Including in original innocent comfort knowing that you were truly a person there and so are people too? No longer a disguise to die nor steal from..including the true identities remembered as respected beings. Not traveling funerals ripped unjustly like a literal meal, when grateful our original knowledges of real blessings. Remembered from past without amnesia of what it means to be a respectful human being. After all where did the original knowing of right and wrong, good choice knowing go when practiced well prior..correctly?..No. More. Gaslighting. Conscience. Again…including as resumed vocation disguised, the miscalled: too often the raped title of respect. When where did the ability too to remember what real respect is, go as well?”

Ahh, bless his little cotton socks. He’s on the right path.

It’s not just the Christians though, its every religion, every society, every culture.

Until we, as a species, can raise up several generations of men that haven’t had the kind of exposure to patriarchy that has produced the world we, as women, have had to survive in for Herself knows how many generations, then these kinds of conversations will need to be had.

It’s true. There is an unfortunate tendency among Pagans in general, and Heathens in particular to blame anything we don’t like about society on Christianity. It’s rare that Christianity alone is to blame for any trends as large as patriarchy.
