EmberVoices
My name is Ember Cooke. I serve the Vanir - Freyja, Freyr, and Their kin - as a priestess, minister, teacher, bard, artist, medium, and witch. Or to put it the Heathen way, as a gythia, galdrakona, and seidhkona.
My personal practice is more diverse, as the Vanir have lead me into cross-training, interfaith work, and counseling for the wider Pagan community as needed. My friends and allies may span the world, but it is the Vanir I love as family. -E-

My Core Theology: A Meditation on Existence
At my core, I am a pantheist as well as a polytheist and animist. I believe that everything comes together to a greater consciousness, a greater Being. Over the years, I’ve meditated and pondered and written and dreamed about how … Continue reading

Love Will Come
This song has been running through my head for weeks now, telling me to admit my bias. I may need to make a rule that I will not do divination on the question “Will I find love?” I admit, in … Continue reading

A Message From Freyja: Pretty Is Not The Same As Beautiful
“Pretty” is not the same as “Beautiful”. “Pretty” has rules. “Pretty” has consequences. “Pretty” can tear you apart, flaw by flaw, and destroy you from the inside out. “Pretty” can also raise you up, when it’s a path to “Beautiful”. … Continue reading

Poem: Pandora
One of the take-aways from Many Gods West is the strong reminder that poetry is one of the gifts I’m supposed to be sharing with the world. To that end, and because I’ve been getting poked by the Gods I … Continue reading
Love’s Labours
Love songs and poetry are very fond of putting love on a pedestal, isolating it from the rest of reality. Love is all you need. Love is conquers all. Every so often, I feel like my brain is going to … Continue reading
