EmberVoices
My name is Ember Cooke. I serve the Vanir - Freyja, Freyr, and Their kin - as a priestess, minister, teacher, bard, artist, medium, and witch. Or to put it the Heathen way, as a gythia, galdrakona, and seidhkona.
My personal practice is more diverse, as the Vanir have lead me into cross-training, interfaith work, and counseling for the wider Pagan community as needed. My friends and allies may span the world, but it is the Vanir I love as family. -E-

Not in our Paganism? We’re not off the hook
Lupa Greenwolf already said everything I was thinking about why this is wrong, and more clearly than I can right now. But I can’t say racism, gender essentialism, and homophobia are “Not in my Paganism” because they clearly still are, … Continue reading

Send Heathens to the Parliament of the World’s Religions!
My Gythia and Mentor, my Teacher, my respected friend and peer, and the Vice-Steersman of the Troth (who I don’t know, but seems thoroughly vouched-for) are trying to get to the Parliament of the World’s Religions this fall in Salt … Continue reading
Okay, That’s Wyrd…
Lon asked me: “So… what exactly IS Wyrd? Does your tradition have a particular take on it?” Wyrd and Orlog go together so tightly that for a while I got swapped which was which, and I’m still only mostly sure … Continue reading
